Guts celebrate spring with Cash-O-Ton promotion

It may not be the right seasonal shift here, as us Aussies start to notice the leaves changing colour and brace ourselves for the colder months ahead, but on the other side of the world the snow is melting, flowers are budding and Guts Casino is celebrating the arrival of spring with an incredible ‘Cash-O-Ton’ promotion.

From April 13th to April 19th, Guts is giving away shares of $10,000 to 70 lucky players, with cash being awarded each day for seven days. There will be 10 winners each day from Monday to Friday taking home $100 each, with 20 winners over the weekend scoring a sweet $250. To be eligible for the promotion you need to deposit at least $20 to your Guts account. For every $20 you deposit, you receive one ticket to the daily draw, with the winners drawn at random at the end of each day. The more you deposit, the higher your chances of winning.

Winners are published on the Guts website daily, and we’re thrilled to see a bunch of Australian players have claimed some cash for themselves. With only a few days of the promotion left, we’d love to see some Aussies take the big $250 prizes, so head to Guts for all your roulette needs this weekend and get that wheel spinning!

Attacker attempted to rob lucky punter of winning roulette ticket

At Roulette.com.au we’re never ones to shy away from a good story involving the dramatic antics that go on in land based gambling venues. This week the story takes us to the UK town of Gloucester, where one lucky punter won £1,000 playing a computerised roulette game at city bookmakers, Corals.

For Andrew Baldwin it was to be both one of his luckiest and most unfortunate days, as fellow Corals punter Thomas George-Pain who was playing on a nearby machine saw the win take place and took it as an opportunity to benefit from Baldwin’s good fortune.

As Baldwin left the venue with a gambling credit ticket, he had barely made it across the street when George-Pain struck, pushing him on the shoulder, demanding money and threatening to stab him with a fictional weapon. He told the victim “give me that ticket, I have a knife” before starting to kick him. Mr Baldwin fled, only to be chased by the determined assailant, who once again started kicking him and demanding the winning roulette ticket.

Mr Baldwin managed to take refuge in a nearby job centre, where security staff were able to detain George-Pain when he attempted to follow. The police were called and charges have been laid. It turns out the accoster has a criminal record of robbery, so jail time is highly likely.

Now we’ve always been huge advocators of playing roulette online as opposed to in a bricks and mortar venue, and these bizarre and dramatic cases display more the reason to turn to the Internet for your roulette fix. Playing roulette in the safety of your home means you never have to look over your shoulder after bringing in a nice win, leaving you to revel in the anonymity of your success.

Your favourite casino came just became a snackfood

Roulette has become so popular that it’s even made it to supermarket shelves, in corn chip form. That’s right folks, the giants behind the Pepsico brand have just released their newest product, Doritos Roulette. The latest gimmick consists of a standard bag of the deliciously cheesy Dorito chips, with the catch being that just a few chips in each bag are doused in an intensely hot chilli powder, a spice that’s been dubbed as too hot to handle, or more poetically “a slap in the face” by many Internet bloggers.

The product was first launched in Australia before being released in the UK and Canada, with US consumers starved of the action. Several opportunistic Aussie’s have taken to selling bags of the Doritos Roulette on eBay at ludicrous prices.

While of course the snack is based more on the idea of Russian roulette than casino roulette, we’re intrigued by anything that takes the namesake of our beloved game. Why not grab a bag of this ridiculous new product and head online to your favourite roulette casino and double the suspense as you watch the roulette wheel spin while reaching for a potentially face melting chip.
